Well, we did it, and I will say this: painting your floors pink is, #1. brave. #2. tricky – but I am happy to announce that the thick, pink, glossy, industrial-strength taffy colored paint is drying as I type. AND IT LOOKS SO GOOD! One unexpected thing is that the pink floor reflecting on to the (white) walls is making them look pink too. Not too sad about that honestly. I was being a little shy with the floor color at first, and went too light. The whole studio looked like a big lightbox, or something out of a dream. (which was cool, but I said the floors were going to be pink, so….). Anyway. The sponsors that we have worked with on this project have been nothing short of incredible, and Lowes Home Improvement has been outstanding on every possible level. Shout out’s to Dennis, Leo, Brad, Rocky & Kelly at Lowes. And a MAJOR thank you to my husband who has painted the floors multiple shades of pink, as well as the walls, draped the ceiling in fabric (on a 12 foot ladder), replaced all the window screens and has been assembling bookcases and furniture. The man is not afraid of pink, thank goodness. As for the rest of the studio. We are OH so close. Stay tuned.
