Make your own wallpaper

Just a little follow-up to the post I did on making wallpaper from books or magazines. I didn’t use the vintage circus book after all (too many creepy clowns), so I used this fab book that I found at Ikea for 7.99. I actually bought 10 of them: 1 for for wallpaper, 1 for me, the rest for gifts. This book is beautiful, and if you can get your hands on one, I know you’ll love it. It’s called “Every Day Counts”.  This is up over my fireplace, and while I usually use softer colors, the matte black and white looks amazing here.

  • I’ve been collecting magazines for years in an attempt to do this too. I love how you did it so neatly!! beautiful! How did you get them to stick onto your wall? Did you use tape or glue?ReplyCancel

  • Wow you did an amazing job.ReplyCancel

Thanks Noor! It’s really fun actually.

Christina, I use regular scotch tape, rolled up and stuck to the back on all 4 corners. Double stick tape doesn’t work (I wish it did – less work). I’d love to see a photo when you’re finished!ReplyCancel

  • Love this!! Did you use some type of board to tape the pictures to it or directly on the wall.ReplyCancel

    Hi Caryl!
It’s taped directly to the wall (which has texture). Works perfectly! xoReplyCancel
